Juggling

Throwing juggling props (balls, clubs, rings, diabolos) in the air in a certain pattern and catching the props again. Juggling is sometimes called the art of letting go.

Beginners
In a number of phases the participants work towards the goal of juggling 3 balls. The division of the learning process in different phases increases the feelings of achievement. This creates possibilities for linking the workshop to themes, such as ‘efficiency’, or ‘keeping multiple balls in the air at once’. Of course, a juggling workshop can also serve as a playful interlude in a longer schedule. Besides juggling balls, it is possible to start learning the juggling of rings, clubs and diabolos.

Advanced
Specially for juggling groups, (youth)circuses and circus schools Art de la Rue provides workshops for people who are advanced in juggling. Workshop themes will be chosen in accordance with the specific wishes and skill level of the group. Earlier workshops had themes like: juggling and movement, passing, bodythrows and siteswap notation.
